Who am I, what do I do?
This is the personal blog of Jay Harper (you might have guessed that from the domain name). I’m a pretty liberal gay New Yorker who lives in Upper Manhattan with my partner (Dan Wong) and our two dogs. We’ve been in Washington Heights for 13 years and are currently making the move to Harlem. We bought a townhouse shell and are renovating it (a big, long project).
Work-wise I’m self-employed. I mostly do database and web stuff including building/running my own web sites plus a few for clients (I’m not looking for new clients). I’m also starting to do a little real estate on the side to help other people who are interested in Harlem townhouses make sense of it all.
